As a nation spanning an entire continent, the railway is the most important mode of public transit in Australia. This means there are numerous train stations across the land, and each of them requires at least three essential elements to function as a train station: a platform, a shelter, and a notice board or digital signage that can serve the same purpose.


The only element that needs to be updated daily is the notice board. Usually, railway staff will print the train schedules for arrivals and departures and stick them to the board. The timetable on the board is necessary for passengers to know whether the trains are running as scheduled or not.

The problem with printed paper is that it cannot be updated in real-time, especially when delays occur due to any possible accidents. This is why public transit displays are used to show real-time information and the status of the trains.


The LCD monitors used for this purpose must have excellent outdoor performance to adapt to various environmental conditions, including weather issues, sunlight interference, and biological problems such as animals and mold. All these challenges require the LCD display to have the following features: high brightness (over 2500 nits), a full-metal housing with rust-proof coating, tempered glass with IK10 protection, optical bonding with the LCD screen, and a waterproof rating of at least IP66 to protect the monitor from rain and mold.
